The 9. th issue of DAGITAB, the official newspaper of One EC-MCO Movement, is now available, October 9. This issue, we focus on the importance of our advocacy lighting in the countryside to improve the lives of the people citizen of the countryside depicted on the cover page.
The centerfold can see the story of how One EC-MCO Movement started. On the effectiveness of R.A. 6038 in 1969 there was a policy for total countryside lighting or total rural electrification. This is the signal to continue the advocacy of lighting. 50 years later, we have been far from our asthma to provide quality fireworks and continuous power flow.
This issue also contains the annual report of Power Bloc to be shared with Electric Cooperative (ECs) and Member Consumer Owners (MCOs) what they conducted within a year in Congress. Different activities of Power Bloc are also seen here to fight for the interest of EC-MCOs. This includes courageous explanation of ECs system loss charges; the conversations with various government agencies to address the issue of ECs; and the laws served in the past month for the sake of ECs At MCOs. They also questioned and underestimated the importance of conducting concrete plans for aspects of economic and health of Solidarity 2. Moreover they also launched the Pantawid Liwanag Program 2 with the help of ECs and allied organizations, and they also promoted the promotion of widespread information campaigns for consumer empowerment.
